The AI tracking systems prefer particular criteria otherwise it confuses the system:

• Simple and professional resume structure and font format

• Applications that contain tables, borders, and pictures (used in many fancy  old-fashioned resumes) will confuse AI platforms and reject your application 

• Headings should have a preferred order and dates should be in reverse chronological order

This may change as AI becomes more advanced but for now you would be wise to make sure your resume has the best possible chance.

Applying for a government role is much more involved than non-government positions.

The quality of applicants are high and competition is fierce at this present time due to the economic downturn.
