  • How do I edit or remove the 'Frequently Asked Questions' title?
    You can edit the title from the FAQ 'Settings' tab in the Editor. To remove the title from your mobile app go to the 'Site & App' tab in your Owner's app and customize.
  • Can I insert an image, video, or GIF in my FAQ?
    Yes. To add media follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Create a new FAQ or edit an existing one 3. From the answer text box click on the video, image or GIF icon 4. Add media from your library and save.

Why do I need to update my resume template?

Applying for a job  now is not the same as it was 20 years ago.

Get the advantage and be organised and have your resume ready to upload.

Right now as of June 2025, there are record numbers of applications for jobs online. I am finding that on Seek for example, jobs fill their quota of applications they will accept (100-200max) in 1 - 4 days of the job being advertised ( although the advertisement will still be posted for up to 30 days) SO get prepared early and then apply quickly when the job you want is posted.

AI selection tools are what most businesses and government agencies use to filter out resumes that don't answer the questions in the job advertisement. Applications that answer the key questions will in general have an advantage and rank higher when seen by a human. 

Where evidence of demonstrated capabilities is a requirement  - this is an essential element that must be detailed and worded in clear non-complex language while shining a light on achievements.

Why do I need a professional writer who understands the current application process?

1st Step

The AI job application platform

The AI tracking systems prefer particular criteria otherwise it confuses the system:

  • Simple and professional resume structure and font format

  • Applications that contain tables, borders, and pictures (used in many fancy  old-fashioned resumes) may confuse AI platforms and reject your application 

  • Headings should have a preferred order and dates should be in reverse chronological order

This may change as AI becomes more advanced but for now you would be wise to make sure your resume has the best possible chance.

2nd Step

The human reviewer

Once you make it through the AI you then have less than 10 seconds to sell your application to a human.

This is why the correct structure is important. A Career Profile and your Key Strengths must be clear and concise and reflect what the employer values for your type of role. The top of your resume page should highlight your best attributes and achievements to help you stand out ahead of the other 200 applicants.

**Not all resume writers have this knowledge so be particular who you choose.  

Government job applications: What is the best method to apply for these roles?

Applying for a government role is much more involved than non-government positions.

The quality of applicants are high and competition is fierce at this present time due to the economic downturn.

Due to the high number of applicants advertised positions are closing earlier than advertised. Therefore only send the link the day you are booked in. If they close a position early it will probably be on or after 5pm.

1/ Consultation (chat): We can have a free consultation about your situation and the goals you would like to achieve and how I can help you do that.

In order for me to be able to give you an accurate price I need to get a better understanding of what I have to work with and the additions you will require.

​2/ Submit a Quote/questionnaire directly on my website If you don't have a resume that's an easy fix ! 

Fill in and submit the Contact - Quote Request form: This contains everything I need to build your resume to a high standard. This may take some time for you to fill in. 

3/Email quote: Once I receive all your information I will then send you details of the service I can offer you specifically for your situation and the price. If you choose to accept my service/s or product offer, please accept by responding to my email.

​Service Procedure:

Once your project has been booked in:

1/ Verification of booking: I will let you know your project has been booked in and the date and time frame I will be able to complete your project.

2/ Draft will be written up: I will write up a draft of your product from the information you have given me and the specific requirements you have requested in our consultation. 

3/ Snippet sent to you and payment requested: A snippet of your completed draft/s will be sent to you along with your invoice. Once payment is received, I will send you your documents in Word and PDF format. 

5/ Small edits and adjustments can be requested: I will do my best to improvise and build your abilities and skills depending on a generalised roleTake time to read over your documents. Ultimately it is up to you to read and agree that what is written is accurate, if not I can edit or remove details.

4/ Payment: is required when I have completed your draft. Once I receive your payment into my bank account OR you send a payment receipt, I will send your draft documents to you asap in Word and PDF format. I am very happy to make any small adits you request.
